Russian delegation headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov is going to take part in the Business-mission “Trade and Industrial Dialog: Russia-Japan” on 29 February - 1 March, 2016 in Tokyo.

Business does not stop in spite of sanctions. That is the main message of the Trade and Industrial Dialog: Russia-Japan business mission.

Over the course of two days, more than 670 Russian and Japanese businessmen from 280 companies and the authorities representing 9 regions of Russia including Ulyanovsk, Yaroslavl, Moscow, Tula and Sverdlovsk Region, Khabarovsk and Stavropol, the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Buryatia participated in approximately 20 events. CEOs of major industrial companies and banks held multiple negotiation sessions and discussed their cooperation and the strengthening of mutually beneficial relations in the course of over 100 bilateral meetings. At the business mission, parties concluded several important agreements, including the Memorandum on Cooperation in the Industrial Policy Area between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan signed by Denis Manturov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Hayashi Motoo, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.

At the venue of the business mission, Russian companies have communicated with the largest Japanese Associations - The Japan Association for Trade with Russia & NIS (ROTOBO) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan Woodworking Machinery Association (JWMA) and Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA).

Business mission participants toured 5 major manufacturing facilities and submitted their proposals for the localization of Japanese production facilities in Russia.
